This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 588 is in effect for much of
central Maryland and parts of southern Maryland, northeastern and
eastern Virginia, the District of Columbia, and for the northern
and central Tidal Potomac River until 11 PM.

A Flood Watch is in effect for parts of central and southern
Maryland, northeastern and eastern Virginia, and the District of
Columbia from 8 PM to 3 AM tonight.

Multiple rounds of showers and strong to severe thunderstorms
expected well into this evening into parts of the overnight.
Damaging wind gusts and scattered instances of flash flooding are
the main threats, especially if heavier rain falls over urban and
poor drainage areas. An isolated tornado or two is also possible.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
