This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A Flood Watch is in effect from 2PM this afternoon through this
evening. Scattered instances of flooding are expected. There is a
potential for more widespread flooding with considerable impact.

A few severe thunderstorms are also possible which may bring
isolated instances of damaging wind gusts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Scattered instances of flash flooding are possible Tuesday
afternoon.

* At 707 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Londontowne to near Marlton, moving east at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

  Mayo, Shady Side, Deale, Rhode River, South River, Londontowne,
  Edgewater, Riva, Galesville, Friendship, Harwood, West River,

thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is
3 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
