This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for central and southern Maryland
and the area around the city of Fredericksburg Virginia until 2 AM
EDT Saturday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT SATURDAY...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Maryland and Virginia, including the following
  areas, in Maryland, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince
  Georges, and St. Marys. In Virginia, King George,
  Spotsylvania, and Stafford.

* Until 2 AM EDT Saturday

* Scattered slow moving showers and thunderstorms are expected
  through this evening which may continue to pose a risk of
  flash flooding especially across central and southern
  Maryland.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
