...Blowing Snow Refreezing on Roads...

Snow from snowfall earlier this morning blowing across the roads
can melt with warmer road surfaces and in the sunshine, then
refreeze from the cold wind, resulting in dangerous icy patches.
Stay alert for reduced visibility and for slippery spots in patchy
blowing snow areas.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine,
Coastal DownEast Maine, Far Eastern Maine, Far Northern Maine,
Interior DownEast Maine, North Woods Maine and Penobscot Valley
Maine.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

An arctic cold front will cross the area this morning bringing a
quick burst of snow. Snowfall may be heavy at times, reducing
visibility below one half mile. Blowing snow will be possible over
open areas this morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
