Minor flooding is ongoing. - An ice jam remains locked in place and is causing North Caribou Road to flood at the Fort Fairfield town line. Strickland Road remains closed due to flooding. Grimes Road is still covered with large pieces of ice and has been damaged. The road remains closed. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Caribou and Fort Fairfield. - For flood safety visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Water levels can rise and fall quickly in the vicinity of ice jams. Those with interests along rivers and tributary streams should be alert for rapidly fluctuating water levels in the vicinity of ice jams. Never drive through flooded roads or around closed road barricades.
