...An area of heavy snow will affect Northern Somerset...
Washington...northern Hancock...Piscataquis...southeastern Aroostook
and Penobscot Counties...

At 1106 AM EST...An area of heavy snow was moving north
from the Downeast region at around 40 MPH.

Locations impacted include...
Bangor, Old Town, Houlton, Bucksport, Millinocket, Dover-Foxcroft,
Dexter, Newport, Calais, Greenville, Guilford, Howland, Patten,
Danforth, Vanceboro, Mount Katahdin, Ripogenus, Brownville Junction
and Orono.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 160 and 304.
 US Highway 1 near Dennysville, and between Princeton and Houlton.
 State Highway 11 between Corinna and Patten.
 State Highway 9 between Dixmont and Baring.

  * Winds in excess of 25 mph are possible with this area of heavy
    snow.

  * Visibilities will drop to less than a quarter mile this area of
    heavy snow.

  * Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and mixed precipitation expected. Additional
  snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches for a storm total of 6 to 10
  inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as
  high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Central Piscataquis County.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause
  localized hazardous travel. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the evening commute. Damage to trees and power lines is
  possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice will make travel extremely dangerous.
