Winter Weather Advisory

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Gray ME
250 PM EST Tue Feb 18 2020

...SNOW CONTINUES THIS EVENING...

.Moderate to heavy snow has overspread much of the area this
afternoon and will continue into the evening for most. Two areas
of warmth are pushing into the region and will change parts of
southern New Hampshire and coastal western Maine to a rain or
wintry mix before precipitation comes to an end. Warmer air from
the ocean will move inland and change precipitation over to rain,
especially near the coast. At the same time warmer air aloft will
move north out of Massachusetts and turn precipitation to sleet or
possibly light freezing rain for a brief time before ending. Until
then snowfall rates may approach 1 inch per hour at times. Expect
precipitation to quickly end from southwest to northeast over the
mid to late evening hours.
