.Long period swells from distant Hurricane Humberto will move
westward to our shores on Friday. Large breaking waves and
dangerous rip currents are likely.

* TIMING...From 8 AM to 10 PM EDT Friday.

* Surf Height...5 to 8 feet.

* Impacts...Large breaking waves and strong rip currents likely.
  Some minor beach erosion possible.

* Location...The ocean beaches of Maine and New Hampshire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
