...LAKE-EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW EXPECTED TODAY...

As a cold front moves through today, a period of enhanced lake-
effect snow is expected. Generally 2 to 4 inches of snow is
expected this morning through late this afternoon. Lesser amounts
of 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected south of a line from the
Porcupine Mountains State Park to Rockland. Areas of blowing snow
will lead to reduced visibilities at times...especially for
exposed areas along the Lake Superior shoreline.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western Upper
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Accumulating lake effect snow and blowing snow is expected today
which will lead to low visibilities and hazardous driving
conditions at times.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Another arctic air mass will move across Upper Michigan Monday
through the middle of the week. Periods of dangerous wind chills
are possible with this arctic air.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

The need for weather spotter reports is not anticipated at this
time.
