This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Moderate to heavy lake effect snow showers will affect portions
of central and eastern Upper Michigan, mainly Alger, northern
Schoolcraft, and Luce counties east of Munising and north of M-28.

Wind chill readings of 20 to 25 below zero are expected across
western and central Upper Michigan this morning. Some isolated
spots in the interior west and central could even see wind chills
down to 35 below or colder. See the latest Cold Weather Advisories

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Accumulating lake effect snow will continue through Wednesday
downwind of Lake Superior in the northwest wind snow belts.

EVENING...
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM
EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy lake effect snow and
  blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches; the
  greatest snowfall will be north of M-28 between Grand Marais and
  Melstrand. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will allow for near
  whiteout conditions at times near the shoreline and along and
  north of M-28. For the Winter Weather Advisory, lake effect snow
  and areas of blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  between 1 and 6 inches, with the greatest snow totals around
  Munising and Pictured Rocks. Areas of blowing snow possible near
  M-28 along the lakeshore before midnight.

* WHERE...Alger and Northern Schoolcraft Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 PM EST this evening.
  For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to 7 AM
  EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Travel could be very
  difficult at times. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce
  visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday
  evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
