...ELEVATED WILDFIRE POTENTIAL FOR THE WEST HALF OF UPPER MICHIGAN
DUE TO A COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS, DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS...

Gusty west winds as high as 20 mph, combined with dry and warm
conditions will lead to elevated wildfire potential today across
the west half of Upper Michigan.

Avoid outdoor burning today. Immediately report any wildfires
to local emergency services by calling 911.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western Upper
Michigan and central Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Dry conditions, breezy wind gusts to 20mph at times, and low
relative humidity values between 25 and 30 percent this afternoon
will create elevated fire weather concerns for today. Burning
outdoors is strongly discouraged today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Thunderstorms will be possible late Monday afternoon into early
Tuesday, and then again for Wednesday through early Thursday.
Gusty winds, small hail, and heavy downpours will be possible in
the strongest thunderstorms that occur.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

The need for weather spotter reports is not anticipated at this
time.
