The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Calhoun County in south central Michigan...
  Jackson County in south central Michigan...
  Ingham County in south central Michigan...
  Barry County in southwestern Michigan...
  Kalamazoo County in southwestern Michigan...
  Eaton County in south central Michigan...

* Until 1115 AM EDT Thursday.

* At 1117 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  area of heavy rain continue to develop and move to the west over
  areas that this afternoon had as much as 1.5 inches of rain in
  less than an hour.  We expect the rain, heavy at times to continue
  into the mid morning hours of Thursday.  Some areas may receive as
  much as 3 inches by then. No thunderstorms are forecast tonight or
  Thursday morning but the rain will be heavy at times nonetheless.
  This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
  Lansing, Kalamazoo, Portage, Jackson, Charlotte, Albion, Mason,
  Hastings, Marshall, Eaton Rapids, Waverly, Westwood, Vandercook
  Lake, Haslett, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Battle Creek,
  Williamston, Middleville and Vicksburg.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon but are not expected to
be severe. Heavy rain is possible tonight across far southern
Lower Michigan and minor flooding could result.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds are possible Friday


Spotter activation will not be needed.
