This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Strong winds develop this afternoon with gusts of 45 to 50 mph
expected this afternoon and evening. A Wind Advisory is in effect
for all areas tonight.

An area of showers with isolated thunderstorms will move through
tonight roughly between 11 pm and 5 am, with some strong to severe
storms possible. A Marginal Risk is in place for all of southeast
Michigan with damaging winds as the main threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Temperatures plummet throughout the day Monday as arctic air sends
temperatures from the 50s in the morning to the low 20s/teens by
Monday evening. Arctic air and and windy conditions with gusts to 45
possible again will set the stage for lake effect snow showers and
possible snow squalls.

Wind chills bottom out around 0 degrees Tuesday morning with highs
only in the mid to upper 20s Tuesday.

...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...East wind 20 to 30 mph shifts south this afternoon while
  increasing to gusts around 50 mph.

* WHERE...The portion of southeast Michigan along and south of I-69,
  including metro Detroit to the Ohio border.

* WHEN...Until midnight Monday Night.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will be capable of damaging unsecured
  objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages
  may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts increase from the Ohio border
  northward as much warmer air surges into the region. Gusts
  continue intermittently through tonight, and then increase again
  after midnight as showers increase across the region and a cold
  front moves through Lower Michigan.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong will make driving hazardous, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
