This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon. Severe weather
is not expected with any storms that form today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Thunderstorms are expected from Thursday night into Friday. Some
stronger storms are possible during this time frame.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...High wave action, strong currents, and dangerous
  swimming conditions expected. Piers may be heavily swamped by
  waves.

* WHERE...Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren counties.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water
  and high waves can sweep people off piers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North winds will increase this afternoon
  and evening into the 15 to 30 mph range. Waves will
  correspondingly build to 3 to 5 feet. Beaches located on the
  north sides of north piers will be the most dangerous today,
  including Holland State Park and North Beach in South Haven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions
and do not venture out on piers. Please check with your local
authorities on potential beach closures.
