This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Rain showers and a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and
evening could bring minor flooding to portions of Central Lower
Michigan.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Persistent rains could result in flooding this week. Strong to
severe thunderstorms are possible between Monday night and Tuesday
night.

Spotter activation will not be needed today.

  Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Michigan...

  Grand River at Robinson Township affecting Ottawa County.

  Maple River at Maple Rapids affecting Clinton County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHERE...Portage River near Vicksburg.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Expect overflows into wooded areas, yards,
  a few outbuildings, and farmland adjacent to the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Current observed data was not available. The river is
    estimated to be around flood stage at 5.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain around flood
    stage. Changes in the forecast will depend on how much rain
    falls from thunderstorms this week.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Flood History...A river level of 5.45 feet was observed on
