This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms expected to develop early this
morning. These thunderstorms look to be strong, with the potential
to become severe. Hail 1 inch or greater and torrential rain will be
the main hazards, with damaging winds to 60 mph also possible. Storm
motion looks to be southeast at 15-20 mph.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from this afternoon through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

An Extreme Heat Watch remain in in effect from Sunday through
Tuesday evening. Please see the latest urgent weather message for
additional information.

The chance for strong thunderstorms returns for Tuesday through
Thursday.

...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 101
  expected. For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions
  with heat index values up to 106 possible.

* WHERE...All of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 2 PM this afternoon to 8 AM EDT
  Sunday. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Sunday morning through
  Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
  humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Check with local emergency management officials for information on
cooling center availability.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
