This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Bands of heavy snow will move across NW lower and eastern upper
this evening. Brief heavy snow showers and gusty winds may lead
to whiteout conditions at times this evening. See latest winter
weather advisory for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Snow and gusty winds are possible Monday through Monday night,
especially across eastern upper and northwest lower Michigan.

Additional snow chances continue at various times through at least
the middle of next week.

...Bands of Heavy Snow and Gusty Winds This Evening...

Bands of heavy snow with southwest to west winds gusting up to 35
to 40 mph will impact much of Northern Lower Michigan early this
evening. This will lead to very low visibilities and
blowing/drifting snow. The worst conditions are expected from 8
PM tonight. These bands of heavy snow will move quickly over the
area, resulting in brief and localized impacts. Heavy snowfall may
result in hazardous travel, including along US-131 and I-75, and
drivers are encouraged to plan extra time to reach their
destination and increase space between vehicles.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 3 inches.
  Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, and Otsego Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Brief periods of heavy snow and rapid drops in
  visibility are expected, especially late this afternoon and
  evening. Brief periods of whiteout conditions under snow showers
  may be possible during that time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling, especially late this
afternoon and evening.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
