Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... A few storms may be strong to severe capable of producing hail up to one and a half inches and damaging winds. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Red or Unhealthy category. * WHERE...Northeast Minnesota. * WHEN...Until 11 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Some members of the general public may experience health effects. Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, may experience health effects. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light winds will allow existing wildfire smoke across northern Minnesota to linger into this evening and overnight. Concentrations are expected to be highest along and near the shores of Lake Superior. An additional round of heavy surface smoke from wildfires across southern Canada is expected to transport into northern Minnesota on Tuesday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
