Damaging winds to 60 mph and hail up to quarter size are the main threats. Scattered to numerous strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, especially in the Minnesota Arrowhead and northwest Wisconsin. Damaging winds up to 70 mph and hail up to golf ball size are the main threats. A stray tornado or two can`t be ruled out. Strong winds and dry air will lead to near-critical to critical fire weather conditions this afternoon and possibly Tuesday. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for parts of northeast Minnesota. Smoke from wildfires will result in "Very Unhealthy" category and "Unhealthy" category air quality for northwest Wisconsin today. An Air Quality Alert is in effect until noon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Strong winds and dry air may result in near-critical to critical fire weather conditions for parts of northeast Minnesota on Tuesday.
