This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

The first round of a long duration spring storm arrives this
afternoon and evening as mainly snow, with a transition to a mix
of snow and freezing rain in parts of east central Minnesota and
northwest Wisconsin overnight. Snowfall accumulation of 1 to 3
inches are possible in parts of the Northland, with less than an
inch expected along the Iron Range and points north. Ice
accumulation of a one to two tenths of an inch are possible from
Pine County east across parts of northwest Wisconsin. A Winter
Weather Advisory is in effect for this first round tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A break in the precipitation Friday but northeast winds begin to
increase with very windy conditions developing by Friday
afternoon. Northeast gusts of 45 mph or greater are possible,
strongest near Lake Superior.

Wintry precipitation quickly returns Friday afternoon with mainly
snow falling. Heavy snowfall rates could cause dangerous travel
conditions Friday afternoon and evening, and strong winds could
lead to blowing and drifting snow. Snowfall amounts of 2 to 8
inches are possible in east-central Minnesota, northwest
Wisconsin, and the Twin Ports.
