...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Douglas County. In Minnesota, Carlton
  and South St. Louis County. This includes the Tribal Lands of
  the Fond du Lac Band.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM CDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

Areas of fog, dense at times, will create low visibilities. Visibilities
are likely to be reduced to below a mile at times. Allow for
extra time when driving and use low- beam headlights. The fog will
gradually diminish this morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Areas of fog, some dense, is affecting the area this morning. The
visibility in some locations is less than a quarter mile. Be
cautious as the fog can reduce visibilities quickly in a short
distance.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening.
A few storms may be strong to severe, mainly over northwest
Wisconsin. Large hail to around 1 inch in diameter and strong
winds to 60 mph are the main concerns.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

There are additional thunderstorm chances Saturday afternoon and
evening, and again on Sunday. The storms over the weekend are not
expected to be severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Skywarn spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening, mainly
for northwest Wisconsin.
