This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A prolonged stretch of hot weather begins today. Afternoon heat
index values of 95 to 100 are expected. Which lead to increased
risk of heat- related illness. A Heat Advisory is in effect from
10 AM today through Tuesday evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

The prolonged stretch of hot weather is expected to continue
through at least Tuesday evening. Afternoon heat index values of
95 to 100 are expected, leading to an increased risk for heat-
related illness.

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 100 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central,
  southeast, southwest, and west central Minnesota and northwest and
  west central Wisconsin.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
