This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota...and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will end over
western Minnesota this morning, eastern Minnesota this afternoon,
and western Wisconsin this evening. Ice accumulation of a tenth of
an inch is expected. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect west
of a line from Rice Lake to Durand, Wisconsin.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms early next week.

River flooding will continue into next week. Mostly minor
flooding is expected or possible along the Minnesota River,
Mississippi River from St. Paul to Red Wing, Cottonwood River,
and the Chippewa River in Wisconsin.

...AS COLD AIR HEADS EAST...RAIN CONTINUES TO TURN TO FREEZING
RAIN AND SLEET...

.Scattered rain showers have already transitioned to scattered
freezing rain showers and sleet across most of Minnesota as
temperatures fall into the teens and 20s. This transition will
continue into Wisconsin early this morning. Widespread ice
accumulation of around a tenth of an inch is expected in the
Winter Weather Advisory area. This Winter Weather Advisory is in
effect west of a line from Rice Lake to Durand, Wisconsin.

  Mississippi River at St. Paul affecting Dakota...Ramsey and

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in

.Overview...River levels are expected to slowly rise as we head through
the weekend as our weather system swells already saturated levels. Thankfully,
the system weakened compared to what it was looking like earlier this week,
which keeps the impacts lower.  Still, expect a few more points in flood or being
upgraded as we head through the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don`t Drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Minnesota River at Savage.
* until further notice.
* At  4:00 PM Thursday the stage was 703.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 702.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 705.9 feet by
  Tuesday morning. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 705.0 feet...Flood waters begin to impact the park road
  at Fort Snelling State Park.
* Impact...At 702.0 feet...Barge loading stops at Port Cargill, and
  other flood prevention measures are begun. Water begins to impact
  Black Dog Road in Burnsville.
* Impact...At 700.0 feet...Flood waters begin to cover trails at Fort
  Snelling State Park as well as low parts on the Bloomington Ferry
  Bridge trail just east of US 169.
