This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

There is an Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms (level 3 of 5)
across south central and southeast Minnesota into west central
Wisconsin, and a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) extending from
southwest Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin. Damaging wind gusts
is the main threat, but a few tornadoes and some large hail are
also possible.

Heavy rainfall is likely Tuesday afternoon and evening and totals
may exceed 2 or 3 inches. A Flood Watch for the potential for
Flash Flooding is in effect for the eastern half of Minnesota and
far western Wisconsin.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heavy rainfall today will lead to rises on rivers and their
tributaries through the end of the week, with some river flooding
possible during Memorial Day weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation will likely be needed this afternoon
from south central Minnesota into west central Wisconsin.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southeast, and southwest
  Minnesota.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms should occur
    from early Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. This
    activity will have a very good chance at producing heavy
    rainfall rates due to high precipitable water values and
    strong lifting mechanisms.
