MOODY...SOUTHERN LAKE...MINNEHAHA...LINCOLN...EASTERN MCCOOK AND
TURNER COUNTIES...

At 837 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Colton to near Harrisburg to near Newton Hills
State Park, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Sioux Falls, Canton, Harrisburg, Crooks, Colton, Hudson, Fairview,
  Lake Alvin State Recreation Area, Newton Hills State Park, and
  Ellis around 845 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Brandon, Baltic, Inwood, Rock Valley, Dell Rapids, Rowena, Larchwood,
Corson, Valley Springs, Alvord, Hull, Garretson, Hills, Doon, Lester,

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to form over
central South Dakota this afternoon into the evening. Risks include
hail to the size of a ping-pong ball, wind gusts to 70 mph, heavy
rainfall, and possibly a tornado or two. Rainfall totals of 1-2
inches are expected with isolated pockets of up to 3 inches
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Lingering, light showers continue Wednesday morning, ending by
afternoon. Cooler temperatures will prevail through the end of the
week. The next chance for showers and thunderstorms comes Friday
night.
