By 10AM most of the precipitation will have moved to the east allowing the roads to slowly improve throughout the day. More detailed information can be accessed at... https://www.weather.gov/eax/hwo .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday No hazardous weather is expected Monday, but some roads may still remain snow and ice covered, especially in rural areas where roads have not been treated. The next system is expected to move through the area Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Currently there is some uncertainty as to the precipitation type between snow and freezing rain/drizzle. North of the Missouri River will likely see more snow with south of the river seeing a snow to freezing rain/drizzle transition overnight. Roads will likely be hazardous Tuesday night into Wednesday night with many delays during the morning commute. There looks to be a break in the precipitation Thursday into Friday with temperatures finally getting above freezing. This looks to be short-lived as another winter weather system will push through Saturday, but a lot of uncertainty still remains in regards to temperatures and precipitation type.
