A high wind warning is in effect for areas along and north of a Kirksville to Olathe line for possible wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph. South of that line a wind advisory is in effect for wind gusts 40 to 50 mph. A red flag warning is in effect from late this morning through mid afternoon for areas along and east of Highway 63. Lastly, a winter weather advisory is in effect for northwest Missouri where 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible and areas of reduced visibilities due to blowing snow may occur. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday No hazardous weather is expected at this time. For the High Wind Warning, west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...In Kansas, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte Counties. In Missouri, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray Counties. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 7 AM CDT this morning. For the High Wind Warning, from 7 AM this morning to 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
