This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Isolated showers and a few thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon (15-40% chance). Lightning and locally heavy rainfall
with any slow-moving storm will be the most likely hazards however
one or two storms could produce gusty winds to 50 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be
possible again Saturday and through the weekend. The highest
chances will exist on Saturday (40-60% chance). There will be dry
periods and not all locations will be affected each day.
Lightning and locally heavy rainfall will be the most likely
hazards with any thunderstorms that develop.

Heat index values will increase back into the 100 to 110 degree
range next week.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
