This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are possible this morning through midday, mainly
across the northern half of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana,
and northwest Kentucky. The main thunderstorm related concerns
include lightning, locally heavy rain, and gusty winds.

The heat index will peak around 100 degrees across the southern
half of the area this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Isolated mainly heat of the day thunderstorms are forecast across
all or part of the area Sunday and Monday afternoons. A chance of
thunderstorms is forecast over all or part of the area Tuesday
through Friday. The greatest chances will accompany a cold front
through the region Wednesday afternoon and evening. A few strong
storms cannot be ruled out Wednesday. Locally heavy rainfall,
lightning, and gusty winds will be the primary concerns through
the period.

Peak heat index readings of 100 to 105 are forecast for all or
part of the area each afternoon from Sunday through Tuesday, and
possibly into Wednesday as well.


Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
