Flood Statement
National Weather Service Paducah Kentucky
743 PM CDT Mon Mar 30 2020

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau
  Mississippi River at Thebes
  Mississippi River at New Madrid

.The River is cresting at New Madrid around 39.8 feet this
Monday evening, and it will hover around that level for much
of the remainder of the week. The River will slowly fall at
Cape Girardeau and Thebes, but will remain above flood stage
for the remainder of the week.



Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau
* until further notice.
* At  7:30 PM Monday the stage was 36.7 feet.
* Flood Stage is 32.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The River will continue to fall to a stage of 36.3 feet
  by Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 36.0 Feet...The flood gate on Themis Street closes.
