At 1258 AM CDT, moderate rainfall was still falling over the warned area. Radar and rain gauges show localized areas of up to 6 to 8 inches of rain has fallen since 8 pm in far northeastern Cape Girardeau County. This water would flow to Apple Creek and vicinity and locally significant flash flooding may be occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
