...HEAT INDICES OF 100 TO 105 AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON...

High temperatures in the lower half of the 90s will combine with
high humidity levels to produce heat indices from around 100 to
near 105 this afternoon. A few locations may even flirt with 100
degrees before we reach the noon hour. Some relief will come to a
few areas as a few isolated to scattered thunderstorms develop.

If you are active outdoors, take breaks, and drink plenty of non
alcoholic fluids. Those involved with children should always check
the back seat before leaving their vehicle.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms will be possible,
with lightning and locally heavy rainfall the main storm hazards.
The thunderstorms may be a bit more concentrated over the
Pennyrile region of western Kentucky and over portions of
southwest Indiana. A few storms could contain strong and gusty
winds.

Expect heat index values much of the afternoon to hover in the 100
to 105 degree range.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible on Friday, and then again
on Sunday, mainly in the afternoon hours. Frequent lightning and
gusty winds will be the primary hazards.

Heat indices of 100 to 105 may occur by midweek.
