This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Significant freeze risk.

DISCUSSION...

Areas near and north of a Neosho to Ava to Salem line will
experience a hard freeze early this morning. Patchy frost will
then be possible late tonight across the eastern Ozarks.

There is a slight chance for a thunderstorm late tonight across
west-central Missouri and southeastern Kansas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms will be possible Saturday into Sunday evening as a
strong storm system tracks through the area. There is a Marginal
Risk for severe storms on Sunday if enough instability can
develop.

Brisk and gusty southerly winds are expected from Saturday into
most of Sunday with gusts over 30 mph likely. A strong cold front
will then shift winds to the northwest from late Sunday afternoon
into Sunday evening. Northwesterly wind gusts over 40 mph appear
increasingly likely behind that front.

Below normal temperatures will result in additional potential for
frosts and freezes next week.

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected next Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
