This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

 Significant freeze risk.

DISCUSSION...

A widespread freeze is once again expected tonight into Thursday
morning as low temperatures range from 26 to 31 degrees. Areas of
southeast Kansas and far southwest Missouri may only receive a
frost as temperatures will be near 32 degrees in these areas. A
Freeze Warning has been posted for most of the region for tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thunderstorms are expected late Thursday night through Friday
night. No severe storms are expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO
9 AM CDT THURSDAY...
...FREEZE WARNING HAS EXPIRED...

* WHAT...Another freeze is expected tonight into Thursday morning
  with low temperatures ranging from 26 to 31 degrees.


* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east
  central, south central, southwest and west central Missouri.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 9 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
