northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia and west central Virginia.

There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather to
include
damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two today.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following
  counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin
  and Virginia, including the following counties, Amherst,
  Appomattox, Bedford, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Franklin,
  Halifax, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - An extremely moist environment consisting of PWATs of 1.8-2.2
    inches combined with training showers and thunderstorms will
    lead to the potential for flash flooding across the Flood
    Watch area today.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
