EDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   INCREASED FIRE DANGER.

Additionally, a few thunderstorms may develop within a band of
showers and pose a risk of strong to locally damaging wind gusts or
an isolated instance of hail this afternoon. Even outside of
thunderstorms, winds will strengthen and gust between 30 and 40 mph
at times from mid to late morning through early tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Low relative humidity values will increase the risk of fire danger
Friday, and especially when winds will also be strong and gusty
Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Fishing Creek at Enfield.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, minor overflow occurs on both banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this afternoon and continue falling to 7.2 feet Tuesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
