This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
southwest Virginia and west central Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Strong, gusty west to northwest winds are expected behind a cold
front late Friday into Saturday. Strong and gusty west to northwest
winds will also be possible Sunday behind a strong upper short wave.
A Wind Advisory, possibly even a High Wind Warning at the higher
elevations along the Blue Ridge, will be needed for all or part of
this area with later forecasts.


Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
