This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the
Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Winter Storm Warning.

In addition, northeast winds will increase to between 15 to 20 mph
today with gusts up to 45 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

West winds on Monday afternoon will increase to 15 to 20 mph with
some gusts up to 35 mph.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations
  from freezing rain of two tenths to three tenths of an inch,
  with locally higher amounts. Total snow accumulations 1 to 2
  inches, with isolated higher amounts. Winds gusting as high as 45
  mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central North Carolina.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight EST Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...The strong, gusty winds in addition to ice will result
  in numerous to widespread power outages. Travel could be nearly
  impossible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
