...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLACK ICE...

.A winter storm dropped an average of 2 to 4 inches of snow across
the Northeast Piedmont and northern and central Coastal Plain. As
temperatures fall into the 20s this evening slush and meltwater
on area roadways will likely refreeze.

* WHAT...Temperatures will fall into the 20s this evening and the
  refreezing of slush and meltwater on area roadways is expected.

* WHERE...The Northeast Piedmont and the Northern and Central
  Coastal Plain of North Carolina.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Drivers should be aware of icy spots on area roadways
  as lingering areas of slush and meltwater will likely refreeze,
  especially on bridges and in locations sheltered from the sun.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
