This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Hot and humid conditions are expected Friday through Sunday. High
heat index values as high as 105 to 109 degrees are possible each day
through the weekend. Heat advisories may be needed for some locations.

In addition, there is a Marginal (level 1 of 4) to Slight (level 2 of
4) risk of excessive rainfall Friday and Saturday. Showers and storms
may produce heavy rainfall leading to isolated flooding.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air-conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
