This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, the Piedmont
North Carolina, and the Upstate of South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and
evening, possibly lingering into the overnight. Some of these storms
will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and small hail, and
all will be capable of producing dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning
and extremely heavy rainfall.

Heat index values this afternoon are expected to reach 100-105
degrees in many locations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Another round of strong thunderstorms could develop Thursday
afternoon. These storms would once again be capable of producing
dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall.

Heat index values may once again climb above 100 degrees on Thursday


Spotter activation may be needed on Wednesday and Thursday.
