This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, Piedmont
North Carolina, western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A line of showers and thunderstorms will track across the North
Carolina mountains overnight. There is some uncertainty on how
quickly the line will push across the area as well as how strong it
will be, as activity is expected to gradually weaken as it pushes
east. Damaging wind gusts will be the main hazard with any severe
storms that develop within the line overnight. However, brief large
hail and heavy rainfall will be possible as well. Additionally, a
brief, isolated tornado cannot be entirely ruled out, mainly across
the North Carolina mountains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

The line of storms will push east of the mountains Saturday morning.
Although the line of storms is expected to weaken as it pushes east,
brief, isolated strong to severe storms cannot be entirely ruled out
east of the North Carolina mountains. Confidence on severe weather
Saturday morning is very low for locations east of the mountains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are requested to forward any reports of large hail,
damaging winds, tornadoes, or flash flooding to our office.
