This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible into the evening.
Damaging wind will be the primary hazard.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and
evening in advance of a strong cold front moving SE into the area.
The primary threat will be damaging thunderstorm wind gusts. The
greatest severe threat will occur between 3 to 11 pm and along
and north of Highway 64. Additionally, if the cold front slows
down or briefly stalls across the area Friday night into early
Saturday, pockets of heavy rainfall could lead to some localized
flash flooding, especially in low-lying or poor drainage areas.


Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
