This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern North Carolina.

   Wind Advisory.

A strong cold front will impact the area today, bringing gusty winds
of 40 to 50 mph. Showers and isolated thunderstorms that develop
along the front may produce very heavy rain and areas of enhanced
winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Confidence is steadily increasing regarding the potential for a
coastal low to impact the area towards the middle of the week. Stay
tuned for updates on the potential impacts of this system.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 PM
EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...All of Eastern North Carolina.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 4 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwesterly winds will develop this
  morning, and last into late afternoon. In addition to the strong
  background winds, showers and thunderstorms accompanying a cold
  front may produce areas of enhanced wind gusts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
