EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the northern Blue Ridge
mountains portion of the western North Carolina mountains.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

   Fire Danger Statement.

Northwest wind of 15 to 25 mph may gust to 40 mph at times,
especially along the higher ridge tops.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH
THIS EVENING...

Gusty winds and low relative humidity will develop this afternoon
across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia. Fuels will dry
out quickly this afternoon, which will create conditions ripe for
an increased risk of wildfires.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn Friday. If you do burn, use extreme caution since
fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
