This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
North Dakota, northwest North Dakota, south central North Dakota,
southeast North Dakota, and southwest North Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible tonight.
Expected hazards include hail as large as ping pong balls and
damaging winds up to 70 mph. In addition, training thunderstorms
could produce localized areas of excessive rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Wells County in south central North Dakota...

* Until 1115 PM CDT.

* At 1022 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
  Hurdsfield, or 14 miles south of Harvey, moving northeast at 15
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Fessenden, Cathay, Bowdon, Sykeston, Bremen, Manfred, Emrick, and
  Heaton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL WELLS COUNTY THROUGH
1100 PM CDT...

At 1015 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles north of Hurdsfield, or 16 miles south of Harvey, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fessenden, Hurdsfield, Cathay, Bowdon, Sykeston, Chaseley, Emrick,
and Heaton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
