This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Hot, dry, and breezy conditions will continue to create critical
fire weather conditions west of Hwy 83 from the western Sandhills
into the Panhandle into this evening. Elevated to near critical fire
weather conditions are expected to continue elsewhere.

Thunderstorms moving through the panhandle late today may produce
strong gusty winds and potentially isolated wind damage near the Pine
Ridge into this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms moving out of the Panhandle late in the day Saturday
may become severe and produce isolated wind damage along and west of
Highway 183.

Thunderstorms on Sunday mainly east of Hwy 83 may also become severe
and produce isolated wind damage and hail late in the day.

Increasing temperatures may result in dangerous heat index values by
early next week across portions of central and western Nebraska,
mainly along and east of Highway 83.
