This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected early this evening
before gusty south winds diminish.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Elevated fire weather conditions are possible Thursday across
portions of area. The main area of concern is over the western
Sandhills and southwest Nebraska.

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible
Friday afternoon over the western Sandhills and southwest Nebraska.

As a cold front approaches the area Friday evening, the threat for
thunderstorms will increase across the area. Locations southeast of a
line from Butte to Mullen could see isolated severe thunderstorms.
The main severe threat is hail up to quarter size.

Much colder air will push into the region for the weekend. Wet snow
is possible Saturday night into Sunday across portions of the area.
At this time, snow accumulations and potential impacts are
uncertain.
