This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect through early evening from near
Interstate 80 into north central Nebraska. Southwest winds 15 to 25
mph with gusts up to 40 mph will combine with humidity of 10 to 20
percent, leading to critical fire weather conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A red flag warning is in effect Friday afternoon and early evening
across the western and central Sandhills into southwest Nebraska.
Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph will combine
with humidity as low as 15 to 20 percent, leading to critical fire
weather conditions.

Critical fire weather conditions are also possible Saturday and
Sunday across the area. Winds will be gusty from the southwest on
Saturday and gusty from the northwest on Sunday.

CDT /7 PM MDT/ FRIDAY FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR MUCH OF
WESTERN AND SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA...

The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Red
Flag Warning for low humidity and gusty winds, which is in effect
from noon to 7 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer
in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 210 Frenchman Basin.

* TIMING...1 PM through 8 PM CDT Friday.

* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 50s to lower 60s.

* LIGHTNING...Not expected.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop may spread rapidly and be
  difficult or impossible to control.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
