This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Late This Afternoon and Tonight.

Through around 6 PM, south-southwesterly winds will remain fairly
strong, particularly within counties in our Nebraska forecast area
along and west of Highway 281. Sustained speeds of at least 30-35
MPH, and gusts up to around 45 MPH will remain common. After 6 PM,
wind speeds will gradually diminish to below concerning levels.

Due in part to these strong winds, dangerous fire weather
conditions will continue for parts of our area into early this
evening, mainly west to northwest of the Tri- Cities, and also
for southeastern areas from Beloit to Hebron. Please reference the
Red Flag Warning in effect until 8 PM for these areas for
additional information.

Elsewhere, fire weather conditions will still be elevated to
near-critical, but relative humidity will not be quite as low as
within the Red Flag Warning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

- Daily fire weather concerns:
Each afternoon and early evening from Sunday through Thursday, at
least near-critical fire weather conditions are expected across
the outlook area, due to the combination of relative humidity
falling to at least 25 percent, and winds gusting at least
20 MPH.

On Sunday, there is a potential for widespread critical fire
weather conditions across the entire forecast area. Please refer
to the Fire Weather Watch issued for these areas for additional
information.
