Gusty winds and dry conditions will lead to Very High to Extreme fire danger conditions across far southeast Nebraska this afternoon. Strong to severe storms will be possible this evening through the overnight hours, mainly east of a line from Fairbury,NE, to Fremont, NE, to Woodbine, IA. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Shower and storm chances continue Wednesday and Friday. Severe storms will be possible at times, especially across southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa Friday afternoon and evening. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM CDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Saline and Jefferson Counties. * TIMING...From noon today to 9 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
